✗ The myth everyone repeats
If you fall into a black hole, you will be torn apart immediately and stretched like spaghetti.
✓ What is actually true
Spaghettification (tidal forces tearing apart objects) does occur in black holes, but timing depends on the black hole's size. For stellar black holes, it happens at the event horizon. For supermassive black holes, you could cross the event horizon without immediate damage. The term spaghettification is correct, but immediate destruction isn't universal for all black holes.
